Our Process

From Concept to Production

Hastings Manufacturing works closely with customers to develop hot stamping, heat transfer, and automated production solutions tailored to their application requirements.

From initial consultation through final installation, our process is focused on delivering reliable equipment, accurate results, and long-term production performance.

Understanding the Application

Every project begins with understanding the customer’s process, production goals, and application requirements.

Our team evaluates factors such as:

  • Part geometry and material
  • Graphic or decoration requirements
  • Production volume and cycle time
  • Existing automation or workflow
  • Tooling and fixturing requirements
  • Future scalability and flexibility

This allows us to recommend the appropriate equipment platform, tooling configuration, and level of automation.

Engineering & System Design

Once the application requirements are established, our engineering team develops the system design.

This may include:

  • Press selection and configuration
  • Tooling and die design
  • Part fixturing and alignment systems
  • Automation integration
  • Safety systems and guarding
  • PLC and controls integration

Hastings designs systems for both standalone operation and fully integrated production environments.

Assembly &
Testing

Before shipment, each system is assembled and tested to verify performance and process accuracy.

Testing may include:

  • Temperature verification
  • Pressure validation
  • Timing and cycle testing
  • Graphic alignment and transfer quality
  • Automation sequencing
  • Safety system validation

Whenever possible, systems are tested using actual customer parts and tooling configurations.

Tooling &
Manufacturing

Hastings manufactures and integrates tooling systems to ensure proper alignment, repeatability, and production efficiency.

Capabilities include:

  • Custom tooling and dies
  • Machined fixtures and nesting systems
  • Alignment and positioning systems
  • Automation integration components

Our in-house manufacturing and assembly capabilities allow us to maintain quality control throughout the process.

Installation & Support

Hastings provides continued support after delivery to help customers maintain efficient production.

Support services include:

  • Equipment startup assistance
  • Operator training
  • Technical support
  • Refurbishment and upgrades
  • Replacement tooling and components

Our goal is to provide equipment that delivers long-term reliability and repeatable production results.

Built Around Your Process

No two applications are exactly alike. Hastings Manufacturing designs systems around the specific needs of each customer, whether the project requires a standalone press, a multi-head system, or a fully automated production cell.

From concept through production, Hastings delivers integrated solutions designed for accuracy, repeatability, and performance.
